Vue CCU invites members who are high school seniors planning to attend college in the fall of 2009 and members currently enrolled in college for the school year to apply for our annual Jack E. Eakman Scholarship. Entries must be postmarked no later than July 6, 2009.
This year, Vue CCU will award eight $500 scholarships. Students are encouraged to submit a written essay of 500 words or less addressing the question, “How has the global economic recession impacted your decisions about saving for college, applying for scholarships, financial aid and student loans, and ultimately selecting a college and/or college major? What lessons have you learned over the past year that will affect your financial choices during college and in years to come?”
Your accounts at Vue Community Credit Union are insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) up to $250,000.00 per account owner. Ownership simply means how funds are held and how the account is titled. IRA accounts are insured up to a maximum of $250,000.00.
